· When the pump is directly coupled with the motor, attention shall be paid to the coaxiality between the pump shaft and the motor output shaft. The accuracy of pump installation has a great impact on the smooth operation and service life of the pump, so installation and alignment must be carried out carefully and conscientiously.
· The pump coupling must be firmly fastened with nuts and locked to prevent loosening. Otherwise, it is likely to cause axial movement of the impeller and result in mechanical failure.
· To maintain a certain amount of liquid storage inside the pump body for good self-priming performance and to prevent dry friction of the mechanical seal, the pump inlet must be positioned higher than the center line of the pump shaft.
· Attention shall be paid to the installation of the suction pipeline: A. The installation height of the suction port shall not exceed 5 meters. If conditions permit, the suction port shall be installed as low as possible below the minimum water level of the water tank, and the length of the suction pipe shall be shortened as much as possible with fewer elbows, which helps to shorten the self-priming time and improve the self-priming function. B. Valves, flanges and other components in the suction pipeline must be strictly protected against air leakage or liquid seepage, meaning no air leakage is allowed in the suction pipeline. C. Solid impurities and other foreign matters shall be prevented from entering the pump body. For this purpose, a filter shall be installed on the suction pipeline. The effective water passage area of the filter shall be 2 to 3 times the cross-sectional area of the suction pipe, and the filter shall be inspected regularly. D. The suction pipeline and discharge pipeline shall be equipped with their own supports, and the pump body itself shall not bear the load of the pipelines.
· During pump installation, the electrostatic grounding resistance of the pump and pipelines shall meet the specified requirements.
· Strict inspection shall be conducted during installation to check for stones, iron sand and other foreign matters in the pump casing and pipelines.
· Align the installation clearance and coaxiality of the pump coupling and motor coupling. The allowable deviation of non-coaxiality is 0.1 mm. The height difference between the pump shaft and motor shaft can be adjusted by placing copper or iron sheets under the feet.
· A final inspection shall be carried out after the unit has been in actual operation for 3 to 4 hours. If no abnormal conditions are found, the installation shall be deemed complete. The shaft shall be inspected during the test run.
· For the pump bearing housing equipped with a cooling chamber, the cooling water connector is designed for rubber or plastic hoses with an inner diameter of 12, and its thread size is M12×1.75.
· If a check valve is installed on the pump outlet pipeline and prevents smooth air discharge during self-priming, an exhaust water pipe and valve shall be additionally connected at the pump outlet.
