Fire pumps are important equipment in water fire extinguishing systems. They are devices responsible for providing power water to the pipes of building water fire extinguishing systems. If the fire pump cannot operate normally in the event of a fire, the water supply will be abnormal, so it is very important to control the fire pump well. There are three control methods for fire pumps, as shown below:
1. Automatic control
Automatic control means that after the relationship determined by the design is met, the fire pump can automatically start the pump without manual operation. Automatic start is generally divided into two ways, one is the interlocking start pump, and the other is the linkage start pump. When starting automatically, the fire control cabinet water pump is required to be set to automatic state.
2. Manual control
Manual control, as the name implies, means starting the fire pump by manual operation. Manual start is generally divided into three ways: manually start and stop the fire pump with the start and stop button on the water pump control cabinet, directly start the pump manually using the multi-line panel or bus panel of the fire alarm, and use the forced start and stop button on the water pump control cabinet.
3. Mechanical emergency control
The control cabinet of the fire pump will be equipped with a separate mechanical emergency start device. When both automatic and manual start-up are ineffective, mechanical emergency control can be used to start the fire pump. Generally speaking, the mechanical emergency device is a manual switch that is directly connected to the power supply of the pump to start, which can ensure the normal start-up of the fire pump.
